It’s that time again: we’ve heard dozens of speakers on MVPs, traction, and knowing your user. Don’t get me wrong, all the information is great, but sometimes we need a little more. Some great craft beer. Real connections. Check! That’s what Startup Crawl is for.

As one of the most anticipated social events of the week, the Startup Crawl gathers hundreds of attendees and spreads them across all of downtown San Diego. The two-hour long event, which is its 5ht year, allows attendees to get a glimpse into the offices of prominent startups.

One of those startups, OSSIC, plans on opening their 101 Broadway offices to the community and sharing some beer and food. The company, who moved from UTC to downtown earlier this year is excited about getting to be apart of the crawl.

“The Startup Crawl is an awesome way to get the local community into the OSSIC office to see what we’re working on and get a glimpse into our culture,” said Kristen Long, Marketing Operations at OSSIC. “We love supporting the startup community and the tech crawl is one of our favorite events every year.”

Starting at 7 pm on the dot, the crawl is divided up into ten different tracks, giving attendees the opportunity to interact with companies they may haven’t seen or interacted with before. Attendees will get a chance to check out three different startups., another crawl host, is excited to be hosting the event for the fourth time.

“Hosting has been a really fun experience, says Chloe Spilotro, Account Coordinator at “It’s always great to see familiar faces and meet new ones. Everyone looks forward to the Startup crawl, and we’re so glad to share our space with the community. We love doing things like making Totchos (tater tot nacho bar!) for everyone to share and nom on while we network. It’s a small way to give back and support our startup community, but we’re always happy to do it.”

People who have been involved with SDSW have raved about the event, says Brandon Christopher, Co-Captain of the SDSW Social Track.

“The Startup Crawl is my favorite of the week,” says Brandon. “What better way is there to develop an affinity with this community than to be able to go to these startups, see what they are up to while networking with a hundred other people, and then to convene at an insane after party.”

The after party Brandon is speaking of will have music by DJ Marc Thrasher, food from El Indio Mexican Food, and an amazing view from a great San Diego rooftop. We’re vague here because we want you to sign up. Get the picture?

San Diego Startup Week Creative Jam / Thursday, June 22 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM
The Adobe Creative Cloud team will host Creative Jam, a design showcase highlighting the work of creative leaders, followed by the Adobe Experience Design showdown. Audience members will vote to select a People’s Choice winner, while the Grand Prize winners will be decided by a group of judges

Leading up to the Creative Jam, local creative leaders will be on site to offer personalized feedback. The reviews are a 1-on-1 opportunity to meet for 15 minutes with a creative professional before the main event. Sign up here: and we’ll send info with the exact time and place of your review.
